Party Puppies

Boy, has time flown! They have morphed into monsters with teeth, but man, are they fun.

These progression of photos demonstrate their growth in 2 weeks. From the whelping box to the big puppy setup, complete with litter pans for potty training. The bottom photo is the daytime setup.

Puppy sushi is frequently on the menu, as they explore the world and each other.

Puppy smoothies have been a big hit, typically topped off by the milk bar while mom gets to clean the bowl. Feeding time (video link).

The Adventure Box remains a big hit.

They get used to noises, being bumped from behind, and having different textures to play with. Adventure Box (video link)

The Dino Cave makes an excellent bed these days, and so does the nanny!

A nanny's work is never done. Play time (video link)

Climbing is becoming an art form.

They have figured out the fine art of escape.

At the end of the day, a worn out puppy is a well behaved puppy.

Ottie Puppies, Second Week

Eyes have opened, ears have opened and the party will soon begin.

It's still easier to trim nails when they are sleeping. This starts weekly at week 1 and I know Ottie appreciates the pedicures!

The nanny is always near, ready to lend a hand (or a tongue).

Go Ducks!!

Early Scent Introduction has completed (this day was duck feathers). The whelping box is getting pretty crowded these days.

Ottie starts to sit up when nursing. This helps to start conditioning their muscles. But it's a free for all at other times.

Puppy yoga has begun, with supervision, of course.

While they are busy, their Puppy De-Sensitization soundtrack runs. This gives them exposure to all sorts of sounds: fireworks, doorbells, traffic, babies and children, storms, etc. They also enjoy TV and radio sounds as well.

At the end of the day (or throughout the day), when the urge for a nap strikes, puppy narcolepsy kicks in. As they get stronger and more agile, fun times are ahead of them.
